Bus seat = roomier than an economy plane seat.

We took a bus from Oslo, Norway to Karlstad, Sweden where we changed to a train bound for Stockholm, Sweden. Total travel time 7 hours but we listened to music, read books, and watched the countryside pass by our window. It went by fast.

The train station, like many places in Europe, had a toilet that required payment to use, but a kind gal about my age with lots of tattoos and a shaved head held the door open and offered for me to go after her without paying. Shh! Donโ€™t tell! ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is the train station in Karlstad, Sweden.

Funny enough, several days later we met two friends in their 60โ€™s who were in Stockholm for a girls weekend and were so funny and friendly. We asked where in Sweden they lived and they said it was small and we wouldnโ€™t have heard of itโ€ฆ but it was Karlstad. โ™ฅ

A very comfortable train ride with plug-ins to charge our electronics and food service too plus self-serve hot coffee.

COO packing (carry-on only) is the best way to go for this kind of travel. You could bring a full size suitcase, but try COO if you havenโ€™t beforeโ€ฆ you may never go back!

The pictures arenโ€™t great since most of them were taken out the window of a moving bus, but I couldnโ€™t stop taking them.
